British comedian Catherine Tate appeared on last season's finale of The Office as one of the potential contenders to succeed Steve Carell, but ultimately, producers split the difference by promoting Ed Helms and bringing on James Spader as an assist. Now, though, it looks like Tate will get a second chance at Dunder Mifflin: TV Line reports that she has signed on for a half-season arc that will begin in February, and she'll be engaging in a "far from professional" relationship with Spader's character, which is perfect. (Though if producers ever wanted to bring on Maggie Gyllenhaal to get seriously unprofesh with Spader, we'd be behind that, too — no pun intended.) [TV Line]
