It’s not the Jeannie Darcy pilot we’ve all been praying for, but it’ll do. It’ll do. TV Guide reports that Molly Shannon joins Up All Night in the possibly reoccurring role of Nancy, a single mom and “incompetent associate producer” employed by former SNL co-star Maya Rudolph’s pseudo-Oprah talk show host. Sure, Mary Katherine Gallagher-type mood swings seem like a fitting character choice for this role, but I’m hoping Shannon goes full-on Year of the Dog. One minute she’s mumbling an apology into her sweater, the next minute she’s lunging at John C. Reilly with a hunting knife. John C. Reilly can cameo!
