Spend This Thanksgiving With Marilyn Monroe

Thanks to a warm reception at this week's New York Film Festival, the Weinstein Company has decided to move My Week With Marilyn's release date from November 4 to November 23. The movie, which is directed by Simon Curtis and stars Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe, does sound like the perfect thing for a holiday weekend: The subject matter is both multigenerational in its appeal (for those spending time with their family) and a half-comforting-half-terrifying reminder that even beautiful, famous people can be insecure and sad and possibly doomed to die alone (for those purposely spending time away from their family). Or you can just go ahead and see The Muppets. [Deadline]
