Since the new post–Charlie Sheen season debuted with a stunning 28 million viewers, the show’s numbers have steadily been slipping. As of right now, its 14.2 million average viewers is almost a million below Sheen’s average last season. That’s not to say we should expect CBS to cut Two and a Half Men anytime soon — it remains the top show in the all-important 18 to 49 age demographic. But if the ratings fall much further, the network may have real reason to enforce its one-year contract with Ashton Kutcher, who has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons. [E! Online]
