Yesterday morning, Zsa Zsa Gabor was rushed to the hospital after losing consciousness in her Bel-Air home, but due to a high fever a planned surgery to reattach a feeding tube in her stomach had to be delayed. At the time, her husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt (more on him later), said her condition was “very unstable.” Zsa Zsa’s health has been deteriorating seriously these past few years, leading to her having her right leg amputated in January, after an infection turned gangrenous. Today, however, Reuters reports that Zsa Zsa is doing a” little better” and that the stomach surgery could take place as early as this afternoon—an image accompanying the article shows the 94-year-old former actress sipping Veuve Cliquot champagne with her, shall we say, colorful husband. As for “the Prince,” this long-running hospital drama comes just as he’s announced a run for the mayoralty of Los Angeles, which he announced via a billboard on Sunset Boulevard this past week.
