Blur Recorded Something New, But You Probably Won’t Get to Hear It

In the latest installment of "Will They or Won't They?: the Blur Chronicles," reunion-tease Damon Albarn tells NME that some of those recent studio rumors were actually true. The guys have been hanging out, and they did actually record a song — a spoken-word track, with poet Michael Horovitz, in support of the endangered Notting Hill Carnival. But then the Carnival was saved, so they shelved the song. Says Albarn: "If they'd have cancelled the carnival — and thank God they didn't — maybe we'd have put it out." Thanks, children of Notting Hill. We hope your Tilt-A-Whirl rides are worth it. [NME]
