This is pretty fantastic. The AV Club sent Patton Oswalt to the home of a reader in Chicago for pie and a reading from Zombie Spaceship Wasteland to celebrate its paperback release. Patton high-fives the family’s ten-month-old baby, shares some pear and gruyere pie, and then settles in for “nerd storytime,” reading a selection about his Dungeons and Dragons days. This sounds like the best afternoon imaginable. Actually, it could maybe be better if after the reading, they got to chat with him about the last season of Breaking Bad while eating macaroni and cheese by a roaring fire. Annnnd there’s my fantasy for the day.
