Yes, werewolves are hot right now, but when they’re shirtless and in a vampire feud, less so when they’re hanging out with their monster pals and destroying buildings. Still, New Line is taking a chance and adapting Rampage, the eighties video game about a werewolf/quasi-Godzilla/King Kong-like trio of friends who take down cities. The studio is hoping to turn it into a biggish-budget monster movie with franchise potential, but if Rampage’s producers get nervous, don’t be surprised if the werewolf/big lizard/gorilla team find themselves joined by a vampire, just in case.
