This season of Dancing With the Stars is lousy, and even the congenitally chipper Tom Bergeron sympathizes with the viewers who are fleeing the once-bulletproof show. (It's still megapopular, but ratings are down about 14 percent.) "You wonder if the cast isn't resonating with people," he tells TV Guide. Don't wonder, Tom. Know. His solution is to cut the national glitter and spray tan budget in half, and take DWtS from two seasons per year to one. "One season a year works very well for American Idol," he says. "I certainly think that's one of the things that should be considered going forward. I would be looking at the spring season very carefully." How can you deny us half our precious .gifs, Tom?
