Glee vs. YouTube: Who Did ‘Jolene’ Best?

So! On last night’s Glee, Santana came out, Rachel cheated, but, most important, Coach Beiste really liked chicken. Also! Sue Sylvester stole her man, prompting her to sing maybe the best-ever rendition of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene.” But maybe it isn’t? Because we’ve also dug up versions by the White Stripes, American Idol finalist Brooke White (she made it to the top five), and an 11-year-old named Eva. Can any of them tackle the Beiste? Watch below and decide for yourself!

If this version of the song were to appear on a Ryan Murphy show, it would be American Horror Story.

Eva

"Please don't take the pre-pubescent boy that I hold hands with" doesn't have the same ring, but would definitely be more appropriate.

As Performed By

Brooke White

Impressive, but Archuleta would have done it better.
