Woody Woodpecker is looking like the next classic cartoon character to get the CGI treatment. Universal-based Illumination Entertainment, the animation house responsible for Despicable Me and the upcoming Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, is developing the project, with Blades of Glory co-writers John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky in talks to develop the story.
