The year 2011 brought us two Sarah Palin movies, but neither made much of a splash: The pro-Palin documentary The Undefeated was negligible at the box office, while the anti-Palin doc Sarah Palin: You Betcha! (from British filmmaker Nick Broomfield) got withering reviews on the festival circuit. Next year, though, things should start looking up for this very specific cinematic niche, as HBO enters the fray with Game Change, casting Julianne Moore as Palin in the network's retelling of John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign. A teaser debuted this week for the March TV movie (directed by Jay Roach and adapted from the behind-the-scenes book written by Mark Halperin and New York's own John Heilemann), and it's your first look at Moore's Palin impression, which is certainly more on-point than the amazingly out-there Boston accent she did on 30 Rock.
