Cave’s Bad Seeds side project will be no more, according to the man himself, who wrapped up Grinderman’s recent tour with the abrupt announcement: “That’s it for Grinderman.  It’s over.”  He then bid good-bye to everyone gathered at Australia’s Meredith music festival with, “See you all in another 10 years when we’ll be even older and uglier.” Presumably, this was meant as a jab at all the other older and uglier (Cave’s word, not Vulture’s) bands reuniting these days, but it is also, you know, a possibility. As Justin Bieber teaches us, never say never. (We’re sure that Nick Cave listens to Justin Bieber.)
