Against All Odds, Nicolas Cage Desires a Wicker Man Sequel

Nicolas Cage is no stranger to franchise filmmaking, as his new Ghost Rider sequel proves. Still, the actor told Empire that he has passed on the chance to join some of the biggest film series of all-time. “There were two movies that asked me to go to Australia or New Zealand for long periods of time. One was Lord of the Rings and one was The Matrix,” said Cage. “But I was actively involved at that time raising my family and I couldn’t really take that time out.” But what if Cage could sequelize another one of the movies he’s made? Which character would he jump to revisit? Well … “I would like to hook up with one of the great Japanese filmmakers, like the master that made Ringu, and take The Wicker Man to Japan,” Cage told the magazine, adding, “except this time he’s a ghost.” Pressing question: Can a ghost still be hurt by THE BEES? Cross your fingers that we’ll get to find out!
