The Book of Mormon lead and Tony-nominee Andrew Rannells has signed onto an upcoming NBC comedy from Ryan Murphy. Rannells will likely play one of the three mains in a new single-camera project co-written by Murphy and Glee producer Allison Adler. What’s the gist? “A heartwarming comedy about a blended family of a gay couple and the woman who becomes a surrogate to help them start a family,” Deadline writes. Though the pilot’s still in its early stages, we’ll bestow a hearty, obligatory greenlight upon anything Book of Mormon-related — and maybe cross our fingers for a Glee guest spot somewhere along the line?
