Showtime just wrapped its portion of the TV Critics Association semiannual press tour with a light smattering of news. After (rightfully) bragging about having successfully launched six new series in a row, network chief David Nevins confirmed recent reports that the director R.J. Cutler (The September Issue) is working on a documentary about Dick Cheney and announced plans for a Richard Pryor doc from director Marina Zenovich (Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired). He also said Showtime staples Nurse Jackie, The Big C, and The Borgias would return with new seasons on April 8. As for aging drama Dexter, Nevins had no new news: The show’s recently ordered seventh and eighth seasons will likely be the last, as the exec said last November,  but there’s always a chance things could change. Nevins also offered a tiny morsel of info about the next season of Homeland: “Brody and Carrie have only just begun,” he said. “There’s an enormous amount unresolved, and that’s going to be a central issue for season two.”
