Big news for fans of loud thumps, night-vision cameras, and other cost-effective scare tactics: The very successful Paranormal Activity franchise will in fact get a fourth installment, to be released sometime this year. PA4 was something of a foregone conclusion, given the third movie’s huge opening — $54 million, the largest horror movie debut to date — but Paramount has now made it official. Great! Everyone celebrate by getting super close to your webcam and looking terrified.
