ABC Bringing Mistresses to the U.S.

And yet another British soap opera is headed for American audiences. ABC has picked up an adaptation of the U.K. series Mistresses, which follows four women as they navigate less-than-conventional romantic lives (meaning: affairs with co-workers, fathers and sons, medical patients, and lesbians for whom castle weddings are being planned. This is all in the first three episodes, for what it's worth). The American version will be written by KJ Steinberg and executive produced by Bob Sertner and Douglas Rae; ABC's order is straight-to-series and slated for summer 2013. Important betting question: How long before a double-reverse amnesiac burn victim turns up?
