Ryan Gosling isn't the only sensitive heartthrob who can step in and defuse a fight. The New York Post reports that Soundgarden rocker Chris Cornell broke up a verbal altercation this week at the Alaska Airlines lounge in Seattle, where a man in a business suit "called another man a queer when he overheard him make a pro-Obama statement," according to an eyewitness. That didn't sit well with Cornell, who'd actually flown to Seattle to perform at an Obama fund-raiser, and he got in the other man's face, reportedly hurling an expletive at him and saying, "You deliberately called him a queer to make him feel uncomfortable in front of a lot of people." Security then interceded and took the guy away. (If only there'd been a similar intermediary between Cornell and Kanye West at Big Day Out!)
