Paul McCartney has a hard time believing that he’s about to turn 70, he tells Rolling Stone, but even if he did come to terms with it, he wouldn’t start taking it easy or anything. “You get the argument ‘Make way for the young kids,’” he says. “And you think, ‘Fuck that, let them make way for themselves.’” Oh, snap. “‘If they’re better than me, they’ll beat me.’ Foo Fighters don’t have a problem, they’re good,” he says. “They’ll do their thing.” Aw, Paul McCartney thinks Foo Fighters are “the young kids.”
