First-time director Trevor White has racked up a solid cast for his upcoming indie drama Jamesy Boy, with Ving Rhames, Mary-Louise Parker, and James Woods set to star. Filming will begin in Baltimore in March. If that trinity of screen pros isn't enough for you, Deadline's got details on, y'know, the plot: Jamesy Boy "tells the story of a young man [newbie Spencer Lofranco] who goes from suburban street gangs to a maximum-security prison surrounded by hardened criminals. In prison, James fosters an unlikely friendship with a convicted murderer who ends up becoming his mentor and ultimately defines and changes the course of his life." Though Woods isn't playing the lead, he better come off the shoot with the nickname Jamesy Boy.
