To be adapted by Balthazar author J.P. Donleavy himself and son Phillip, the script would become the duo’s second. They previously collaborated on Donleavy’s first novel, The Ginger Man, which was produced by Robert Mitchell and Phillip Donleavy as a potential Johnny Depp film, Variety reports. Alliteration aside, will this beautiful book become bastardized to make a blockbuster?
