For a certain generation — say, the teen to twentysomethings who were parked in front of MTV on lazy afternoons back in 2003 — Punk’d will always be the show that taught us what it looks like when Justin Timberlake cries. That was a tough 30 minutes for everyone. But if you have been able to let go of that haunting image (and if you can also get past the tractor-hat-era Ashton Kutcher associations), then you may find room in your heart for the new version of Punk’d, if only because it’s still pretty funny when celebrities get freaked out over stuff. A rotating cast of celebrities (Justin Bieber, Hayden Panittere, Nick Cannon) will host the revival; their unlucky victims include Taylor Swift (ruining a wedding “Speak Now”–style), Miley Cyrus, Chloë Moretz, Tyler, the Creator, and Zac Efron. Based on the trailer, nothing gets too harsh, which means you can totally feel okay about laughing when Tyler goes soaring into the back of a pick-up truck. We did!
