Well, here is a sentence that Vulture did not expect to type this morning, or maybe ever (except in dreams): Katy Perry went on BBC's Radio 1 Live Lounge to perform a semi-acoustic cover of Kanye West and Jay-Z's "N*ggas in Paris." Obviously, your feelings about Katy Perry will affect the way in which you read and experience that sentence, and the video is much the same: If you can't stand KP, then you will find it annoying and maybe excruciatingly awkward; if you love her, then you will be won over by her commitment and her not-totally-incompetent flow. We can't guess how you'll feel about her Yankees hat. Anyway, it's no "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," but it is certainly a memorable Katy Perry cover, at least. Respect the effort. And the fact that she only performed it the one time (instead of twelve). Update: the video may not be long for this internet, watch now!
