You know you’ve “made it” when the media widely reports on both the theft and eleven-years-later recovery of your favorite comic book. Which is exactly what happened to Nic Cage and his beloved Action Comics No. 1, featuring the first appearance of Superman. And now that odd tale will become a heist comedy courtesy of Lionsgate and Reno 911! creators Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant. The sad part is, despite the Cage role being written for Cage, he probably won’t join the project. Oh well. You know what they say — always squander a perfect opportunity to get everyone to maybe take you seriously again and laugh with you rather than at you.
