If you had April 2 as the day Hollywood would give up its love of rehashes, retreads, reboots, remakes, and re-everythings, you've lost. Paramount, looking to re-something 1987's Carl Reiner-directed, Mark Harmon-starring Summer School since 2005, has landed on Adam Sandler's Happy Madison production company to get the job done. "By bringing aboard Sandler ... the studio is signaling that it hopes to bring a more comedic focus to the project," The Hollywood Reporter writes. Non-Sandler-starring comedy, that is, the likes of which you've witnessed in Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Zookeeper, and Joe Dirt.
