A few weeks back, Damon Albarn told the Guardian that he did not see a future for either Gorillaz or Blur, beyond the latter band’s previously planned one-off show at the London Olympics’ closing ceremony. Today (perhaps unsurprisingly, given the long history of Damon Albarn talking noncommittally about stuff), he is running those comments back. “[That article] was an interesting take on a very long conversation. I don’t know how we’ll feel when we play Hyde Park,” he told Metro about Blur’s future. “Some days I feel one way and other days I feel the other.” What about Gorillaz? “When Jamie [Hewlett] and I have worked out our differences, I’m sure we’ll make another record.” And so concludes another chapter of “Will They or Won’t They: The Blur and Gorillaz Chronicles.”
