Gotye now claims that he just lerrrrved the Glee cover of his song, and that we've all grossly misinterpreted his description of it. "The nature of using reverb and space in a recording can change your perception of how a sound appeals to you," he said at a show in L.A. last night. So that cardboard box thing wasn't a dig, he says — he called the cover "dinky" because the original version's xylophone is itself dinky. He likes the dinkiness! Plus, he dug the setup on the show. "I thought it was really clever to transpose the song to two guys," Gotye said. "It was a great idea." Make up your gotyamned mind, pal.
