President Obama will make his first appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon next week, NBC announced today. He’ll appear on Tuesday’s show, broadcast from UNC Chapel Hill. Dave Matthews will be the musical guest, so make of that what you will. (Nothing? Something? We’re not the boss of you.) This is President Obama’s first late-night appearance since October, when he was on The Tonight Show, but Michelle Obama has been making the rounds in recent weeks and was herself a guest on Fallon in a segment in February, where she and Jimmy faced off in a fitness challenge. If POTUS and Fallon are not going to do Thank You Notes — and they’re probably not, because that’s a Friday segment — here’s hoping they sing a duet together. Oh, the possibilities.
