If you somehow missed the viral sensation that was Mary J. Blige's Burger King Snack Wrap commercial, know that it involved an awkwardly CGI-ed Mary J. and the lyrics "fresh lettuce." The ad was widely posted — and mocked — across the Internet in no time, and then it disappeared as quickly as it had arrived. (YouTube giveth, and YouTube taketh away.) Burger King claims that its decision to pull the ad was not based on the ridicule, but because of a music licensing issue that they hope to resolve shortly. In the meantime, Salma Hayek and Jay Leno are apparently also shilling for the snack wraps, so maybe there is some new leafy greens comedy to be found there.
