NBC has picked up Matthew Perry’s half-hour comedy Go On, Deadline reports. He stars as a sports anchor who’s required to join a support group, led by Laura Benanti. Go On is the first show this season to get a pick-up order, which means it gets some kind of prize. (“Being on television.”) Technically Hannibal and Mistresses were both picked up already, too, but those shows both had straight-to-series orders so it’s not quite apples-to-apples. Oy, is there anything more fun than splitting hairs over insiderish TV business? There sure isn’t!
