Well, this sounds promising: Rooney Mara has signed up to star in an adaptation of Coim Tóibín’s popular 2009 novel Brooklyn, with a script written by Nick Hornby. The movie will reteam Hornby with An Education producers Finola Dwyer and Amanda Posey (also Hornby’s wife), which bodes well for a story about a young Irish woman who emigrates to the titular borough by herself in the fifties. We are intrigued! And, after yesterday’s Spike Jonze news, plus the possible Dragon Tattoo sequels, we are now monitoring Rooney Mara for signs of Jessica Chastain Overcommitment Syndrome.
