NBC has ordered thirteen episodes of the White House–centric single-camera comedy 1600 Penn, starring Jenna Elfman, Bill Pullman, and The Book of Mormon’s Josh Gad, as well as the veterinary-clinic-set Animal Practice (apparently retitled from Animal Kingdom?) starring Justin Kirk of Weeds, the network confirms to Vulture. Along with Ryan Murphy’s The New Normal, Matthew Perry’s Go On, and Anne Heche’s Save Me, this is a lot of new NBC shows to maybe laugh at!
