Showtime has renewed Nurse Jackie for a fifth season, following the departure of two of its executive producers, the network announced today. Former Dexter showrunner Clyde Phillips will replace Linda Wallem and Liz Brixius next year. Phillips was an executive producer for the first four seasons of Dexter, but more important, he created and executive produced Parker Lewis Can't Lose. Somehow, Nurse Jackie does seem like the midpoint between those two shows, except with drugs.
