Though an ensemble film titled Mother’s Day calls to mind a couple other star-chocked, quality-bereft, holiday-centric outings that need not be named, it’s actually an indie drama by a guy called Paul Duddridge. Deadline reports that Susan Sarandon and daughter Eva Amurri Martino are the first two to be cast for a story that’ll eventually feature twelve mother-daughter pairs. As long as Jessica Biel, Lea Michele, and Sarah Jessica Parker don’t all show up together, there’s hope.
