It hasn’t even been out for a full two months yet, but already, The Avengers has joined an elite club: Today, it will become one of three films in history to gross over $600 million at the domestic box office. It’s a monster overseas, too, where it’s already picked up an additional $837 million. Surely, with all that coin, Marvel can afford to get Joss Whedon back on board for an Avengers 2? (Fingers crossed.)
