Bill Murray is the co-owner and Director of Fun for the Charleston RiverDogs minor league baseball team. This video was from his induction into the South Atlantic League Hall of Fame. He wasn’t sure if he deserved the honor but he does – he deserves every honor. This speech is funny in parts but mostly it’s an earnest, somewhat touching look into Murray’s relationship with baseball and his view of life. He closes the speech by advising the players to “walk out into centerfield and just lie on the ground and watch those fireworks in the sky over your head; you’ll never have a night or day like today.” He’s the best.
