‘Community’ Wins at the Critics Choice Awards

The Critics’ Choice Television Awards was last night and Community won for best comedy series. For all the praise the show gets, this is still the first major award they’ve won. Dan Harmon wasn’t in attendance for obvious reasons, as he tweeted: “Congrats, Community, and thank you, critics. Sorry I was unable to have been invited!” McHale did thank him first, however, when accepting the award for Community. Other winners included: Amy Poehler and Zooey Deschanel, who tied for best actress – Louis C.K., who won for best actor – and Archer, which won for best animated. Since the award show is still very young, it’s hard to say how much influence it will have on the Emmy nominations but hopefully it is the only factor and Community wins all the Emmys and then Dan Harmon is brought back and then they shoot nine more seasons as television’s most popular show and there are multiple movies and theme parks and Abed becomes this generation’s Mickey Mouse and Mickey Mouse develops autism and then Minnie Mouse dumps him – maybe, this is the darkest timeline.
