It looks like Frank or Francis is no more. Charlie Kaufman's musical satire about Oscar-bait movies (and entertainment blog commenters) was supposed to star Steve Carell, Kevin Kline, Jack Black, Kate Winslet, Catherine Keener, and Elizabeth Banks, but Banks tells Moviefone that the movie isn't happening after all. "We didn't get to shoot [Frank or Francis]," Banks says. "It was ready to go, and, as many movies do, it fell apart at the last minute." Nooooooo! Why can't we have nice things? Is it because they are impossible to finance on account of their whimsical yet ultimately rewarding and engaging strangeness?
