Many Ricky Gervais Projects Are Ending So He Can Focus on ‘Derek’

Ricky Gervais took to the Huffington Post to do a FAQ of sorts. Apparently, the most frequent of his frequently asked questions is “Ricky, what’s happening with your TV projects?” Here are his answers one show at a time:

The Ricky Gervais Show: Done for good. Probably.

An Idiot Abroad: They’re filming two specials and then it’s done.

Life Too Short: Finale special is written and will film after Christmas. Afterward, it’s done.

Derek: Shooting another six episodes this fall because he’s “never been so in love with a project or character.”

Other: He is filming audiobooks, which I guess makes them videobooks (which I guess makes them TV shows?).

We’ll pour out a pint for you, fallen TV shows. No word yet if he thought of the idea for Night at the Museum again.
