What Makes Nick Offerman Cry?

Ron Swanson says crying is acceptable only at funerals and the Grand Canyon. Nick Offerman, though, is a bit more in touch with his emo side. He tells EW that he “always” cries during episodes of Parks and Recreation. “Mike Schur is such a master of making me cry,” he says. “When he delivers me personal news like, ‘You’ve got the job of Ron Swanson,’ or when they handed me the script that had the Pyramid of Greatness in it — I read that scene and burst into tears because I can’t believe I’m the lucky bastard on the receiving end of this writing.” The Pyramid of Greatness makes us cry, too, except not from gratitude, from laughing. “No emotional sweating” is sound and hilarious advice.
