Britain’s finest Yankee impersonator, House’s Hugh Laurie, just landed possibly the biggest movie role of his career, playing the villainous CEO of Omnicorp, the vast conglomerate behind RoboCop’s titular hero. Laurie will join a cast filled out by The Killing’s Joel Kinnaman — our cyborg crime-fighter — Gary Oldman, as RoboCop’s creator, and Samuel L. Jackson, the movie’s “not evil” business titan. Given Hollywood’s penchant for accented villains, we’re banking on the full Brit Laurie effect.
