If Alicia and Kalinda can’t be BFF from now on, the good news is that their relationship is at least on the mend. In the meantime, Alicia will get a new girlfriend in whom to confide next season. Vulture has learned that, in a multi-episode arc, Amanda Peet will play a military lawyer who sues a contract worker for an attempted sexual assault. She hires Alicia to instead represent her, and the two become fast friends. Peet joins a growing list of guest stars heading to The Good Wife next season, including Nathan Lane as a manager tasked with cutting costs at the firm, Kristin Chenoweth as a political reporter covering the Florrick campaign, Maura Tierney as a wealthy Democratic bigwig, and Marc Warren as Kalinda’s dangerous husband.
