Vulture Premieres the Trailer for André Téchiné’s Unforgivable

If you’re going to have a marriage consumed by jealousy and deceit, the least you could do is have it somewhere impossibly picturesque. Director André Téchiné (Wild Reeds) set his new film Unforgivable in Venice, and at first, its central union looks as promising as the surroundings: Successful writer Francis has moved to gorgeous Venice and fallen for his equally ravishing real-estate agent, Judith. But things between them start to unravel as Francis’s daughter skillfully plants some seeds of doubt, and before long, each starts to suspect the other of keeping big secrets, and Francis has hired an ex-con to follow Judith around. The movie opens June 29 in New York and L.A., but until then, enjoy this Vulture premiere of the trailer and soak up the sights amid all the suspicion.
