Revenge Casts Jennifer Jason Leigh

Revenge ended its first season with an appropriately soapy dun-dun-duuuuhn moment: Emily Thorne/Amanda Clarke's mother is alive. And now the show has cast Jennifer Jason Leigh to play the mysterious Mama Clarke, according to TV Line. Leigh and Emily VanCamp are a credible enough mother/daughter duo based on eyebrow shape alone! Revenge can be pretty over-the-top (just ask Madeline Stowe how often she lets her eyes well up), but Leigh's been in borderline-kabuki mode on Weeds for a while, so she'll probably fit right in. Scream, sigh, stomp, gaze into the middle distance, and curse your oppressive wealth. It's that easy, JJL.
