Schwartzman, Giamatti Join Mary Poppins Biopic

Jason Schwartzman, Paul Giamatti, and Ruth Wilson have all been cast in Saving Mr. Banks, the upcoming biopic about P.L. Travers, the author of Mary Poppins. (Emma Thompson is playing Travers; Tom Hanks is playing Walt Disney.) Giamatti will play Thompson's chauffeur, and Wilson, best known for her role on Luther, will play Thompson's mother in flashbacks. Schwartzman will play songwriter Richard Morton Sherman, who wrote the songs in Mary Poppins as well as "It's a Small World," and the songs from The Jungle Book and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, among others. Wait, the same guy wrote "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" and "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"? Give him a spinoff biopic, please, called The Earworm King.
