Braveheart writer Randall Wallace is penning a new film titled Gunslingers, and Vince Vaughn is set to star and produce through his aptly named company, Wild West Picture Show. "It’s an action adventure set in modern day Los Angeles, where heroic and iconic characters from the past collide with contemporary urban reality. It’s a movie that explores what real heroism is in a fun and unexpected way," writes Deadline. So it's kind of got the same thing ABC's Once Upon a Time has going on — rounding up iconic Western archetypes and/or characters and plopping them into a current setting — and it's definitely not a The Dark Tower As Brought to You by Ron Howard gunslinger. Got it.
