The new documentary The Imposter (out in New York this Friday) tracks a story that was too good to be true for a grieving San Antonio family: Three and a half years after their teenage son Nicholas went missing, he reappeared in Spain, and the family members immediately welcomed him back into their lives. Still, there was something a little off about this new Nicholas. He didn’t look quite like the old Nicholas, for one. And then there was the accent! Still, despite mounting evidence that this person was a conniving imposter, Nicholas’s family wanted to believe it was him so badly that they were willing to overlook nearly anything, as you’ll see in this exclusive clip.
