Benedict Cumberbatch ‘Cynical’ About Elementary

Surely there's room in the world for multiple Sherlock Holmeses, but the Sherlock folk can't stop sniping about CBS's yet-to-premiere Elementary. Benedict Cumberbatch tells the U.K.'s Shortlist that he and Elementary star Jonny Lee Miller have talked about the shows. "I did say, 'Well, I'd prefer you didn't do it but you've got a kid to feed, a nice house in L.A., and a wife to keep in good clothes,'" Cumberbatch says. "When you get used to a certain standard of living and they waft a pay check at you, what are you going to do?" Ouch! "I wish him the best of luck," he adds, "but I’m a bit cynical about why they’ve chosen to do it and why they cast him." Please, oh please, let's settle this with a dance-off.
