The Colbert Report
I’m glad Stephen got the word out about Grover Norquist’s baby eating ways, as this is a trait he shares with all Grovers. Especially, Sesame Street’s Grover, who was actually originally named Baby Monster because, like Cookie Monster, his first name reflected his dining preferences. The problem was Baby Monster sounds adorable, not menacing, and Grover ended up eating too many babies, so they changed his name to Grover and he started eating groves along with his babies. Similarly, Elmo eats elm trees and Snuffleupagus eats snuffleupas and guys name Gus.
